Axom Adarxo Gram Yojana:
The scheme was introduced in the year 2018-19 for holistic, all-round development of villages in the state and also to empower the villages towards self-sustainable development. The prime objective of the scheme is to create model villages where good quality public services – in terms of sanitation facilities, roads, drainage, electricity, drinking water, schools, healthcare institutions are provided to all the citizens. The State Government, taking inspiration from the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana, has conceived the Axom Adarxo Gram Yojana. Two villages in each of the 125 Assembly Constituencies would be supported in their overall transformation as model villages. One Assembly Constituency viz. Guwahati (East) LAC being the urban constituency is not covered under the scheme.
During the year 2018-19 an amount of Rs. 125.00 crore was sanctioned against 250 nos. of villages of 125 LACs (excluding East Guwahati LAC which falls under urban area). In 2018-19, an amount of Rs.125.00 crore was released to all districts.
For the year 2021-22, the budgetary provision under this scheme is Rs.2000.00 lakh and are processing for release of fund.
